Spring time and autumn are ideal seasons to explore Morocco.
April in Marrakesh: temperatures average from between 12°C to 24°C.
Temperatures drop quickly in the evening.
Health:
There is no particular medical health risk in Morocco.
Vaccines: No certificate of vaccination is required for any travelers coming from Europe or America.
Tap water is not safe to drink. It is highly recommended to drink mineral water.

The Moroccan currency is the Dirham (DH or MAD) One DH is divided into 100 centimes.
January 2008 : 1 Dirham moroccan (MAD) = 0.08706 Euro (EUR)
Banknotes available include 20, 50, 100 and 200 dirhams, coins of 1, 2, 5 and 10 dirhams and of 5, 10, 20 and 50 centimes are also available.
ATTENTION: coins of 1 and 2 dirahms look very much alike and are easily confused.
Foreigners not residing in Morocco can freely convert imported currencies into Dirham in banks or institutions authorized to carry out currency exchange (hotels, bazaars etc.).
The Dirham cannot be converted outside of Morocco and travellers are supposed to leave Morocco without any dirham.
Good to know: 50 % of left over currency (dirhams) can be reconverted into foreign currency on site.
When you convert a foreign currency into dirham, keep the exchange receipt; it can be useful at the end of your stay when you wish to sell on unused Dirham to a bank or recognized currency exchange.
Banks are open Monday through to Friday with a small number opening on Saturday mornings.

Main banks, as well as main hotels, have a “bureau de change” (foreign exchange)
At the time of exchange you may be asked to present your passport. Always ask for a receipt and carefully check the amount.
Banknotes in Euros or US Dollars are accepted in all banks and hotels
Travelers' cheques in euros or US dollars are not systematically exchanged in hotels or banks and you will be asked to present a photocopy of the proof purchase together with your passport.
Credit Cards:
Credit cards are accepted in most places (hotels, restaurants, shops).
The most wildly accepted is Visa which is accepted at most ATM “cash points”.
MasterCard withdrawals are available at the Banque marocaine du commerce extérieur, Wafabank, Banque centrale populaire, and Banque commerciale du Maroc.
ATM /Cash points:
It is highly recommended to only use “cash points” during the banks opening hours.
Please note a commission of approximately 2% is charged on all cash withdrawals.

Three operators share the Moroccan GSM network (Maroc Télécom , Méditél and Wana), covering 85% of the territory.
The quality GSM network coverage is on the whole very good.
